Arts, Culture & Entertainment
The most culturally diverse and renowned cities in the world all have one thing in common...art. From local galleries to life-size wall murals, performing arts centers to museums, a community full of art is a community full of culture. A community that supports local arts are creating culture, stimulating business, driving tourism, preserving history, and helping to inspire minds...both young and old. Arts and culture are powerful tools with which to engage communities...they are a means of public dialogue, contribute to the development of a community's creative learning, create healthy communities capable of action, and helps build community capacity and leadership. Our community proudly supports a wide range of theater, dance, music, museums, food and wine tastings, arts and crafts shows, artisans, parades, and festivals, not only locally but in the entire metropolitan area.
The Boise Valley offers a thriving arts and cultural scene. You will find pubic art all around the valley, and can tour the Boise Art Museum, Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial, Zoo Boise, Discovery Center of Idaho, historical museums and other cultural hotspots. Nationally-renowned theater and performing arts companies also reside in the Boise Valley, including the Boise Contemporary Theater, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Ballet Idaho, Idaho Dance Theatre, LED and Idaho's premier performing arts center, the Velma V. Morrison Center. And if that isn't enough, we have the Boise Philharmonic, Boise Master Chorale, Boise Little Theater, Idaho Historical Museum, Idaho Military History Museum, Museum of Mining and Geology, the Old Penitentiary State Historic Site, Opera Idaho, Warhawk Air Museum, World Center for Birds of Prey, and the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame. The Ford Idaho Center is the premier multi-event complex in the Pacific Northwest where you can attend a concert, convention, sporting event, trade show, or equestrian show. Culture and history is a big part of Idaho, and a big part of the Boise Valley. We celebrate our diversity with the Hispanic Cultural Center and The Basque Museum and Cultural Center.

INDIAN CREEK WINERY
Visit one of the best wineries of the Northwest, a hidden gem with magnificent summertime gardens boasting hundreds of colorful dahlias, dancing butterflies and home-town charm. Family-owned and operated, Indian Creek Winery truly believes in that old saying "Work hard, play hard." Bill and Mui Stowe have been working hard since 1982 to craft premium wines from the best grapes in the heart of Idaho's Snake River Valley appellation. Second generation, Tammy Stowe-McClure and husband, Mike, stepped on board in 2005 to help continue the success of this growing winery. All the hard work has been paying off – taking home gold medals from several wine competitions as well as being honored "Idaho Winery of the Year" in Wine Press Northwest's Spring '08 Edition. They produce a wide variety of wine, and most are available for sampling in their tasting room at the winery. Besides the tasting room, they also offer a variety of services such as custom wine labeling, wine bars, wedding grounds hosting, group tours, and events throughout the year.
SYRINGA WINERY
Syringa Winery is one of Idaho's most revered wineries, started by winemaker Mike Crowley. Established in 2007, Syringa Winery is located in one of the most picturesque areas in the state. Syringa specializes in making wines from grapes grown in the Snake River Valley. The wines are unfiltered, unfined an cellared in separate vineyard lots in American, French, and Hungarian oak barrels. The "free run" and "pressed wines" are places in separate barrels for aging, and then later blended by discerning palates.
VIZCAYA WINERY
Vizcaya Winery is owned and operated by Larry and Kay Hansen. Their desire to have a winery grew from their love of viticulture and wine. They started growing Tempranillo and other varietals in 2004 on their Windy Ridge Estate vineyard. After several years of providing grapes for other wineries, they decided to venture into producing their own wine. They now have two vineyards and are offering seven wines at their tasting room. Their 2011 Tempranillo was awarded a double gold/best of class at the 2015 Idaho wine competition and their 2014 Albariño received silver.
