The Mayor's Kuna Youth Council (KYC) is a teen organization to help Kuna's Mayor and the City establish an agenda for our community's youth, become involved in community projects and events and take a leadership role in those goals.

After your application, has been submitted you will be contacted for an interview.

The KYC will meet with the Mayor and advisers the 2nd Thursdays of every month, participation is required.

The Criteria…

  • A Kuna student in 9th through 12th grade and attend one of Kuna's high schools or are home schooled
  • Interested in learning how your city works
  • Motivated to make a difference in your community
  • Willing to express your ideas
  • Eager to participate in community events and volunteer activities
  • Able to work as a team with others to establish goals and initiatives
  • Ready to sharpen your leadership, speaking, presentation and decision making skills
  • Committed to participating fully in meetings and activities … then the Mayor's Kuna Youth Council is excited to welcome you
