Residential Building Permits
A residential building permit is required in the City of Kuna to construct a new residential building structure or for certain improvements to ensure the project is consistent with building codes and other applicable regulations.
Work Requiring a Permit
- A new residence, mobile home, or accessory dwelling unit
- Any accessory structures such as garages or residential storage structures
(Detached storage buildings less than 200 square feet in area are exempt) - Improvements and additions to existing residences or accessory structures
- Decks over 30 inches above grade
- Retaining walls over 4 feet in height, including footing
- Installation of fences
- Heating and air-conditioning systems, fireplaces, wood stoves, and other heating devices or ventilation systems
- Relocation or demolition of a structure
- Any structure attached to the house
